Senior/Lead Engineer – HVAC (Building Services)
About You
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, great connections within the local industry, that are passionate about providing building lasting client relationships to help grow our consultancy.
In addition to the above, you will need to be able solve complex HVAC engineer problems relevant to the New Zealand building code and standards and be able to instruct and train graduate/intermediate engineers in completing project work.
Locations
Reshape consulting are primarily based in Auckland however we would consider hiring in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Bringing in new clients.
Managing client relationships.
Carrying out HVAC engineering design for Residential and Commercial buildings to the New Zealand building code and standards.
Instructing and training graduate/intermediate engineers in completing project work.
Creating detailed design documentation for building consent and to issue to contractors.
Attend to project meetings with Clients, PMs and Consultants from other disciplines.
Attending construction site inspections.
Respond to technical and building consent queries.
Assist in coordination of with other disciplines.
Key Requirements
Minimum 6 years’ experience in the design & supervision of building service projects.
Experience in leading roles for design.
Familiarity with New Zealand codes of practice, relevant standards, and regulations.
Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
Able to work independently & exercise initiative.
Excellent delegation and communication skills, which see you enlist the help of others to meet objectives.
A client, team, and delivery focused working style.
Experience in a consulting environment.
