Senior/Lead Engineer – HVAC (Building Services)
The Role
Reshape Consulting is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team in a full-time, Auckland-based remote role. This position offers flexibility to work from home or from a shared office environment within the Auckland region.
This is a senior, technical, and client-facing role with responsibility for HVAC design delivery, project leadership, and business development. You will lead HVAC design from concept through to construction, while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Responsibilities

Lead HVAC system design from concept through detailed design and construction phase support

Produce and review high-quality HVAC documentation and Revit models

Provide construction phase services, including site inspections and contractor engagement

Build, maintain, and grow client relationships, including identifying new business opportunities

Collaborate closely with other disciplines to deliver coordinated building services solutions
About you
-
8+ years’ experience in building services engineering
-
Minimum 3 years’ experience within the New Zealand market

Strong technical expertise in HVAC system design and application

Proficient in Revit and coordinated BIM environments

Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging clients, consultants, and contractors

High emotional intelligence with a collaborative, solutions-focused mindset

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
